New year, new wardrobe — I did a lot of shopping over the holiday season, including my latest order of 6 Romwe pieces, which just recently arrived! In the spirit of the season, I got a mix of holiday-ready styles (it's late, I know) and more understated essentials to amp up my wardrobe this year. My order included a black lace-up velvet crop top, teal velvet romper, black keyhole cutout cold shoulder bodysuit, red-and-navy plaid tennis skirt, embroidered satin bomber jacket, and teal velvet oversized coat, which I'll be reviewing right after the jump!

First up is perhaps the most unique piece from this time's Romwe fashion haul: a black lace-up velvet off-shoulder crop top. Velvet is a must-have material in the autumn and winter months, and this top makes great use of the luxurious look of the fabric.

This one-size-only piece instantly caught my eye with its distinctive cut and style. Made of a soft and stretchy velvet, this crop top incorporates edgy twists on the ever-popular off-shoulder and lace-up trends, with adjustable faux leather shoulder straps and ribboned lace-up ties down the front.
The top comes unlaced with the ribbon, so you have to lace it yourself; I chose to lace it from the top down, though it can also be laced as shown in Romwe's pictures and tied at the top. With the adjustable laces, you can control how much skin to show, from a tightly-tied square neck cut to a plunging lattice neckline.
Size-wise, this piece fits as described on the product page, and it can fit a variety of sizes due to the stretchy fabric and adjustability. I typically wear size XS clothes and found this top to be loose, so I'd say it's best for someone who wears size S or M. Although I wish iti was more cropped and tight-fitting, I love the style regardless.
Velvet is one of my favorite fabrics, and the quality of this piece is great for the price! If you like the style, go for it; this is a piece that's definitely worth having.

Sold in sizes S-M and also offered in black or burgundy, this all-velvet romper features thin straps, a low-back cut, and a flowy dress-like silhouette.
The actual romper is a bit looser than described on Romwe's site, and the green-blue color is brighter than pictured, making it a very eye-catching, holiday-ready piece. I love the feel of the fabric, and the piece is lined at the bust for extra comfort.
The style of this reminds me of the Kimchi Blue crushed velvet romper sold on Urban Outfitters, and it's quite well made, worth the price. On the other hand, the sizing of this piece could use some improvements; there's no zipper and the waistband doesn't have any stretch to it, so it's a bit difficult to slip it on. Likewise, the straps aren't adjustable and the romper is pretty short, so this is a piece I'd recommend to those who are shorter and have small hips.
The teal velvet fabric has a gorgeous shimmer to it, and although it's hard to get on, this romper is super comfortable when you're wearing it. With some improvements to the sizing, this could be a really dazzling piece, perfect for holiday parties!

I've just recently started trying out bodysuits, and after having a great experience reviewing one from SheIn, I decided to try out another.
This all-black piece features a mock-neck, choker-style design with a plunging keyhole cutout, long sleeves, and open-shoulder design. There's a button closure at the back of the neck, plus snap closure at the bottom, making it easy to wear. The material is a ribbed nylon/poly/spandex knit blend, with subtle glittery specks to give it a hint of shimmer.
I got this piece in size S, which fits as described online. It's closer to an XS in size, but the fabric has a ton of stretch, so it can easily fit an S and possibly even an M.
The fit of this piece is phenomenal, and I'm happily surprised by the quality and comfort. Pair it with a leather skirt or ripped jeans, wear it alone or layer a bralette underneath—you really can't go wrong with such a versatile piece, and it's got enough style to wear from day to night, however you choose.

The skirt that I paired with the cold shoulder bodysuit is a red-and-navy plaid tennis skirt, also sold by Romwe.

This pleated skirt mimics the ultra-popular American Apparel tennis skirts, with a zippered side, clean-cut pleats, and schoolgirl-esque plaid print. It's sold in sizes S-L, and I'd highly suggest referencing the product description for measurements, since the actual fit is very accurate to the listed sizes.
Compared to the store photos, the actual skirt is a bit brighter in color, and in my opinion, the pleats look better in person than online. The material is slightly thicker and softer than that of the American Apparel skirts, and the skirt has an ultra-slimming fit, with a slim top and slightly flared bottom.
I was also surprised to find out that this skirt is actually a skort! It's something that Romwe didn't list anywhere on the product page, but is a huge plus for me, The skirt is lined with shorts made of a silky-smooth polyester, providing a wonderful solution to the short skirt dilemma.
Although I already have a ton of pleated skirts, I'm super happy to be able to add this one to the collection. It's one of the most comfortable and practical versions of the schoolgirl-style tennis skirt, with great quality at a low price.

Since my love of bomber jackets and all things made of satin or silk has yet to fade, I got another embroidered satin bomber jacket, this time featuring a beaded embroidered design.

This was the priciest piece of the six that I received as part of this time's Romwe fashion haul, but the craftsmanship is excellent. The jacket isn't too thin and two pockets for functionality, with intricate detailing along the front, back, and sides of the sleeves.
I got this jacket in size M for a more oversized fit and love how it looks. The embroidery is exactly as pictured, with golden beads sewn on for a luxe 3D effect, contrasted by muted pastels for an elegant and understated touch.
The zipper is a bit tricky and there are a few loose threads near the knitted ribbing at the hem and sleeve cuffs—these, of course, are a quick fix and don't affect the wearability of the piece at all, but for something at this price I'd expect a better zipper.
Other than those minor inconveniences that could be improved, this jacket is gorgeous, and the material is pretty high quality, unlike thinner pieces that snag and rip easily. It's got the luxurious look and silky-smooth comfort of satin, with enough thickness to provide warmth in autumn or early spring.

Lastly, I got an embroidered teal velvet buttoned coat, sold in sizes S-L.

While the black satin bomber jacket is more of a spring/autumn piece, this velvet gem is thick and warm enough for winter. It's made to have a more oversized look, with floral embroidery and sewn patch appliqué that adds a fun and lighthearted touch.
Personally, I'm not too enthusiastic about the fit of this coat, and I think it's a bit too puffy for my liking. Perhaps a longer, more slim-fitting version would be more flattering on me; the shoulders are just too broad and I don't have what it takes to pull this off.
Even though this piece doesn't suit me, I have to say that the quality is flawless—even better than that of the black satin jacket. It's really warm and cozy, lined with a silky inner that makes it super comfortable, and the teal velvet, as with the romper, is a deep and alluring teal, brighter than portrayed in Romwe's pictures. Is it my style? No. But is it worth the price? Definitely—so if you've had your eyes on it, I say go for it!

I'm very, very pleased with these clothes from Romwe, all of which are well made and stylish picks at reasonable costs! Although the velvet coat doesn't really suit me and the teal romper could undoubtedly use some improvements, I think each piece lives up to its price. Of these six items, the cold shoulder bodysuit and pleated plaid skirt win my vote for most versatile and affordable everyday staples, while the velvet lace-up crop top and beaded satin jacket are the perfect statement pieces.
I hope you all enjoyed today's fashion review; feel free to check out my other Romwe reviews for more! As always, thanks for reading!
