Hey guys! How was your week? I'm excited to bring to you a review of a store called Romwe, which sells clothing, jewelry, shoes, handbags, and more! I got an oversized lace-trim sweater as well as a red lace skater dress. Review ahead!

Eat My Knee Socks intro picture for the Romwe fashion review, including a red jacquard skater dress and a lace-trim knit sweater!

About Romwe

This is my first experience with Romwe products, so here's an overview of what Romwe is and what they sell.

Romwe is a huge online fashion store, founded in 2009 in Nanjing, China. As quoted from their site:

From the catwalk to [the] real world, our aim is to bring top fashion into your day.

Romwe offers an enticing selection of dresses, tops, skirts, pants, leggings, jewelry, shoes, handbags and more, constantly running promotions and discounts to ensure that you get the best deal while shopping! They offer free shipping on orders over $50 as well as 60% OFF your first order!

The store sells a lot of unique products and is especially popular for it's This Is Print selection, which is full of street-style clothing and vibrant prints. Aside from that, Romwe carries many other styles as well, so you're sure to find some eye-catching clothes and accessories!

My Romwe Shopping Experience

I got two items from Romwe, a dress and a sweater. I received my tracking number on January 21 and got my package on the 28th, making the total shipping time just one week! The clothes came in a big envelope and were each packaged in their own Romwe bags.

Here's what I got:

The Review

One of the items I received was this oversized cream-colored knit sweater, which has beautiful mesh and lace detailing.

The sweater is free size (aka one-size-only), but the loose, baggy fit makes it suitable for most body types. It features a high-low hem with sheer lace layers on the back and a knit pattern on the front.

The style and color combination of this oversized sweater make it super versatile and great for many different styles of fashion! You can pair it with solid leggings or skinny jeans for a casual look, black bottoms and a leather jacket for an edgy ensemble, a washed-out floral skirt and brown wedges for a girly outfit, etc.

I wore this sweater with leather shorts, over-the-knee faux suede wedge boots, and a velvet choker to blend the light, cute style of the Romwe sweater with some darker pieces.

One of the things I really like about this sweater is how it's unique and memorable without being overtly flashy. The front of the sweater resembles your basic, everyday baggy sweater, but the ruffled lace on the back adds femininity and sweetness to this style.

Here are some photos of the back, where you can see the details on the lace trimming:

In terms of quality, I have slightly mixed feelings.

There aren't many specific flaws or issues with the quality of this sweater  no loose threads, holes, tears, stains, etc. aside from a little piece of mesh that's sticking out (but that's an easy fix so I don't mind am I writing a run-on sentence oh my) — so in that aspect it's nearly perfect!

I do, however, feel that the knit material could have been better. The sweater is knit loosely, giving it a slightly sheer look, which is true to photos, so I can't complain. On the other hand, the material isn't as soft as I'd like. It's not scratchy or uncomfortable, but it could definitely be more comfortable. Perhaps I'm being a little too picky?

Nevertheless, the style of this oversized lace-trim sweater from Romwe make it a great item to have and a super-cute sweater that can be worn in so many ways! Plus, it's currently on sale for $21.67, half of the original price, so if you love baggy sweaters and sheer lace details, definitely check it out and don't miss out on the opportunity!

Quality: 4/5

Almost perfect, but I wish the material was softer.
Sizing: 5/5

True to size; loose, casual fit.
Style: 5/5

I love the high-low hem, ruffled lace back, and light cream color.

I'm not sure what I was doing in this picture :')

The second item that I got from Romwe was this red-and-black lace skater dress. After picking the dress, I found that it was made in the same style as a red jacquard dress by Australian fashion brand MinkPink, a brand that I've been keeping my eye on lately.

The Romwe skater dress features a soft red jacquard fabric in a lace rose pattern over a black mesh underlay. It's partially lined with opaque black fabric on the front of the bodice as well as the skirt, while the sleeves and the top of the back are sheer.

Skater dresses have always been my favorite kind of dresses, since they work really well at making the waist look thinner and hiding unwanted chubbiness. This red-and-black lace dress from Romwe does the same, and I really, really love how it looks!

The style of this dress is absolutely stunning. I like the combination of bright, bold red and classy black, and I also like the blend of lace and mesh. It looks 100% the same as the site photos and identical to Mink Pink's red jacquard lace dress! For just $26.68 (almost 50% off the regular price of $51.70, and nearly 70% cheaper than Mink Pink's same-style dress) the style is absolutely worth the money.

I got the red lace dress in size XS, and it's true to the measurements on Romwe's website. As a bonus, the fabric on this dress has quite a bit of stretch to it, and the dress has a golden zipper on the back, so size isn't an issue at all.

Quality-wise, there's almost nothing bad that I can say. The red lace pattern is made from a super soft, slightly fuzzy fabric that makes it really comfortable and easy to wear. There aren't any loose threads and whatnot, and the dress overall is very well-structured.

The only thing I would point out, if anything, is that the bottom of the zipper tends to cause the dress to poke out slightly at that point, which can look a little funny, as you can see in the right photo above Regardless, I'm very happy with the quality of this lace skater dress from Romwe.

Quality: 4.5/5

The zipper pokes out a little, but the material is ultra-comfortable.
Sizing: 5/5

Fits great and has a good amount of stretch; figure-flattering.
Style: 5/5

Great colors and design; true to photos.
